IN EGYPT
SOLDIER AT CATHEDRAL SERVICES DURING EASTER A Hamilton soldier in Egypt, writing to his relatives, throws a light on the lives of New r Zealand soldiers in that country. He says that on Easter Day he went to the cathedral in Cairo for the evening service. He arived 20 minutes before the appointed starting time for the service, and the edifice was crowded. He considered himself fortunate in eventually getting a seat in the balcony, near the choir. He continues : "Yesterday I arrived at the cathedral at an even earlier hour, and secured a better seat. The Bishop o!" Egypt, Soudan and Aden officiated, and he spoke very clcarly and impressively, and without the use of the microphone his voice carried to all parts of the cathedral. The whole service was most interesting and impressive.'"
