Draw for the first week of the Whakatane Basketball Association competitions will he played on Saturday. Junoor Grade, 12.45 p.ra: Primary A v Convent; Poroporo v Prim-, ary B. Senior Grade, 1.45 p.m: Whaka,- 1 tane Reserve v High School A at "Whakatane; Knox v High School B at Whakatane. 2 p.m: Poroporo v JRovers at Whakatane; Whakatane v Paroa at Whakatane. The following teams have been selected to represent W T hakatane— Whakatane: Goals, Pat Francis, Mrs Ward, G. Garaway; Defence, P. Jeff ares, N. Westl Z. Dines; Centres, M. Howat, T. Zinsli, H. Suckling. Emergencies, G. Wilson, W. Sutcliffe. Whakatane Reserve: Goals, M. Carter, M. Lyons, B. Pearson; Centres, J. Bridger, G. Graeff, Mrs :Spong; Defence, S. Cave, S. Donaldson, N. Crozier. Emergencies, Mrs .'Hurndell. Rovers: Goals, M. Print, R. at, L. Print; Centres, M. Reardon, I. Harks, B. Wailace; Defence, B. Howat, P. Dogherty, D. Reardon. Emergencies, Mrs Hignett, J. Baxter. After the competitions have been played High School A will play High :School Old Girls. The following have been' selected to represent the H.S.G.G.:— Goals, P. Francis, R. Howat, M. Carter; Centres, D. Reardon, G. Garawajr, I. Marks;, Defence, B. Howat; N\ West, S. Donaldson. The selected members of the Whakatane teams are asked to collect their ties, belts and girdles from the secretary before Saturday. Any of the above members unable to play please notify the secretary immediately.
