BY-LAWS FLOUTED
INSANITARY BUILDINGS | COUNCIL'S FIRM STAND At the-meeting of the Borough Council the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, advised that the Building Inspector had reported that a building being erected by Mr L. Bock on Lot 0 D.P. 144.10 of Pt. Allot. 3 Waimana Parish was not being erected in accordance with the plan and specification on which a building permit had been issued. Indeed the structure was very inferior and in no way satisfactory. He added that the building had not been erected in accordance with specifications which applied for the erection of two store sheds. The applicant had then proceeded to shift his family into these unsatisfactory structures with no provision for sanitary service or drainage. The council agreed that notice should be served pursuant to clause 12 of the Borough By-law No. fi. calling upon hi Hi within fourteen days to show cause why the work should not be pulled down.
