ENFORCING OBSERVANCE IN BOROUGH

"Councillors will understand that the now regulations require that there shall be no use of radiators between the hours of 4 and 6 p. mi in offices, shops or buildings," said His Worship the Mayor at the meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council last Monday evening. The following recommedations from the Finan-e.e and Electrical Committee were formally adopted:— Resolved 'hat Messrs F. W. Ly--saght and 11. L. Drube we appointed pursuant to clause 5 of the ord-« cr, to ensure observance by consumers of the restrictions imposed. Resolved to recommend that, until otherwise resolved by the council, that electricity consumers connected to the borough supply, be not permitted to change from a restricted hotwater service to a full time one.
