MISS RUTH MACDONALD
HONOURED
A very jolly evening was given by Miss Margaret Woolfielcl at her home last Friday, when the guest of honour Avas Miss Ruth Macdonald. It being a rather novel preserves evening, each one present brought a bottle of fruit, jar of jam or pick-* els. There were about 30 young people present. The evening was spent at flag 000 competitions and •singing. The cards were won by Mass lit ty Addison, Miss Betty Wragge, Mr T. Doran and Mr Don Addison. After a delicious supper had been served. Miss Woolfield asked the guest of honour to accept the many preserves from her friends present, with good wishes for her future life. Mr M. Burke, on behalf of Miss Macdonald, thanked Miss. Woolfield and all for the pleasant evening and lovely gifts, which were much appreciated, all joined in singing "For They Are Jolly Good Fellows" and the party continued until after midnight.
