TANEATUA NEWS

INSTITUTE MEETING

The Taneatua Women's Institute held its June meeting recently in the laneatua Hall and there was a fair ;-'ttendance. Mrs Adams (President) opened the meeting with the usual Institute song, after which minutes and correspondence were dealt with. The moc'to for the meeting was: ■'Cheery people help weary jieople." The roll call, "My Pet Superstition" was well responded to and caused much merriment.

The day's competitions were: Art-! icle from 501b floutf bag, A very prettily worked apron done by Mrs Adams 1. Sponge with butter, Mrs Hayward 1.

A delicious afternoon tea was served by the hostesses,. Mesdames Fox, and Pettit. The meeting closed with, the National Anthem.
