TE TEKO CLEARING SALE : STRONG AVERAGE MAINTAINED The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agancy Co. Ltd. reports a successful clearing sale held on account of Mr C. E'ivers at Te Teko. The herd came forward in wonderful condition and provided a wonderful opportunity for local farmers to fill their requirements. As the herd had not been tested, individual records were not available but calving dates Averc announced. Although the top price was only £13, bidding was very consistent on all the sound -cows cf which sixty-four averaged £9 10s. Best early calvers made from £10 to £13; later calvers from £8 to 15s; backward and cows in milk from £6 10s tO' £7 15s. Pigs also sold -very freely with good store pigs from £1 10s to £2, weaners 16s. Sows ■in pig from £3 15s to £6 ss.
