FAREWELL DANCE

A' farewell dance was held in the Waimana Hall last Thursday evening, when the guest was Aircrafts- I man Jeff Corlett. The dance music "T was supplied by Mr Dick Boynton"s orchestra, and Mr R. Woolfield acted as M.C., and Mr Jack Cain was doorkeeper. The Monte Carlo dances were most popular. After supper had been served Mr P. L. Burnett called on the guest to come forward and accept a wallet and cheque from the "people of the district, and wishing him the best £ of luck and a safe return. Mrs Wylde then presented the gift. Mr Corlett then most suitably responded. Dancing continued and "Auld Lang Syne" and the National Anthem closed the evening.
