TANEATUA ADDRESS

W.D.F.U. GATHERING Mr Brian Dunningham, Director of Reconstruction and Social Justice at the invitaton of the W.D.F.U. Taneatua branch gave a very instructive address to a well attended meeting the subject being Reconstruction and the People's Plan for post war efficiency. Mr Dunningham dealt with his experience of poverty amidst plent3 r in America and the millions of pounds worth of fruit and food destroyed during his stay there. Owing to the withdrawal of credits under the orthodox system of banking which was being controlled by a few master minds that had nether creed nor nation under those? conditions he emphasised the danger; of Federal Union dominated by WalU' Street. Quite a number of questions were asked which received ready replies and the meeting concluded with a very hearty vote of thanks to the* speaker for his address.
