CLEARING SALE
WAIMANA REALISATIONS Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report a successful sale of Mr E. J. Doran's herd at Waimana. Individual test and calving dates were given. The cattle dclinitely looked the goods and were in great order. Competition was mainly local but steady bidding brought a satisfactory average of £8 10s for 96 head. The demand for 2 year heifers was quiet, prices for well-grown heifers showing quality selling from £7 10s to £9. Main realisations were: Young early calving cows £12 5s to £15 15s; quality sorts £10 to £12; good August £9 to £10; older cows August, September calvcrs £7 5s to £8 1.55; line of 20 yearling heifers account Mr Doran £2 19s;. 10 account Mr E. P. Woollicld, £1; 4 year mare £15 10s; 3 year grey marc £10 10s; child's pony £10 10s.
