ANNUAL PROVINCIAL MEETING The annual provincial meeting of the Bay of Plenty Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held in the AiWakeri Hall on May 22. Mrs Haultain presiding. Mrs Haultain welcomed, delegates from the branches, and then gave a very, comprehensive report on the working of the past year and moved the adoption of same. Mrs Grey presented the balance sheet, Mrs Maunder, housekeeping secretary, presented her report and balance sheet, these were all moved for adoption and carried. The following were the nominations for the coming year: President, Mrs Haultain re-elected; vicepresidents, Mrs Goodwin and Mrs Hill; secretary, Mrs Grey re-elected; housekeeper secretary, Mrs Maunder re-elected; committee, Mrs Luxton, Mrs Gibbs and Mrs Jamieson; advisory members, Mrs Haultain and Mrs Maunder; press correspondent, Mrs Luke., Several remits came up for ..discussion, and although advice was received that the conference had been cancelled, it was decided -to forward them to Headquarters, in the hope that the Advisory Board might deal with them. A. very happy meeting ended with votes of thanks to the chair, and to * the Awakeri hostesses, who had served a delicious luncheon and afternoon tea.
