NO LATE NIGHT AT TE PUKE
TAKE oir excess fat \vit,h healthful Bonkora. No dieting. No dangerous drugs. F. G. Mack low, Chemist. Whakatane.
WE note with interest an advertisement in the Te Puke Times announcing the fact that fourteen of the. principal firms in that centre have decided to abandon the late shopping- night (Friday) altogether during the winter. This decision which follows swiftly the lead given in the larger centres should .make the Whakatane public realise the fact that it still continues to enjoy practically the same advantages it has always enjoyed. The mere cutting down of the shopping hours by half an hour on Friday evenings should make little or no difference from the shoppers point of view. The public should not lose, sight of the fact that the business people of this town have decided to maintain the weekly late shopping night of their own free will in spite of the example set by neighoburing centres.
