Radio listeners last evening Avere agreeably surprised to hear a comprehensive broadcast setting out the operations, turnoAer and activities of the Whakatane Paper Mills, shortly after the main news, session.
Executive officers gave intimate glimpses of the A r ast amount of Avork which the mills Avere now carrying out, while departmental controllers spoke descriptiA'ely of their oavii sphere of actiA r ities.
An effort "will bei made by the Beacon to procure the script of the addresses Avith a A'ieAV to reproducing the actual broadcast verbatim, at a future date.
