— 1,, — VEGETABLES IN NEW ZEALAND It seemed astonishing that in. a country like New Zealand such extraordinary prices for vegetables should! be demanded, stated a letter received by a Wellington business man from his London principals. The letter acknowledged press: cuttings referring to the price of vegetables and. to the position arising from tlie storage of apples. It stated that though A-egctahles were exceedingly dear in England, and there was a great shortage, prices did, no' quite reach these mentioned in the press dippings as obtaining in New Zealand.
