CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS The tendency noticed in the two previous ballots, that among the married men and men in the older age groups; there is a determined will to fight, was most marked in the latest ballot. Out of the 1205 men called; in the No. 4 (Hamilton) Area only live appeals Avcre lodged on conscientious grounds, this, being easily the lowest percentage of appeals on this ground for any ballot. Appeals lor reser\'ists on the grounds of undue hardship and public interest are. more numerous, and over halt' of those called have been appealed for. .Approximately! 700 appeals have been lodged.
