BOROUGH POWER
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER'S REPORT The following report covering the operation of the Borough Electrical Scheme for the past month was submitted by Mr F. Lysaght, Borough Engineer, to the council meeting last Monday:— King Street Substation: The work of dismantling the old King Street fmbtation has now been started and should be completed in the next few days. The following is the total additional connected load for the past year also the appliances meters and time switches installed: Ranges 40: Hotwater cylinders 29; Motors 2; Number of lights 394; Heating points 162; Meters 112; Time switches 33. The total connected load for the year was (532.(53 K.W. Secondary and Service Line Mtcc: Considerable maintenance work on services and secondary lines and several new poles have been erected to replace -defective ones. Power Shutdowns: The P.W.D. power supply has been switched off for two hours during the past two Sunday afternoons and w r ill again be off next Sunday. This is no doubt due to alterations or repairs that are necessary to their equipment. Pumping Plant: The pumping plants have been in service everj r day during the month and are in fair order. Building Permits: The following building permits have been issued during the month: Alterations and repairs to residence 1, additions to residence 2. Total 3. The value of the above buildings amounted to £694.
