MAN ASSAULTED WITH SPANNER YOUNG .MAN'S ACT To be assaulted with a heavy spanner on his return from Home Guard training, at his home at Piripai, and seriously injured was the experience of Mr Oswald Park, a well known figure of the Paper Mills community. Mr Park who received no less than 18 wounds from, the instrument is now a patient in the WJiakatane hospital. The sequel occurred in the Courthouse yesterday when a young man, Robert Carter, appeared before Mr G. A. Brabant, J.P., and was 'charged with being armed with an offensive Aveapon —a steel spanner, he did assault with intent to rob—one Oswald Park. Being under age the accused was remanded to appear in the Children's Court on June 1.
