TWO LEGEONNAIRES

Official News Service) Some lime ago a sergeant serving in 11 j e N.Z.E.F. -walked into a South African Forces Club, and met to his surprise a Avarrant officer whom he had last seen when they were both in the Foreign Legion several years before the oulbreak oi' war. On that occasion tlie South African had been a legionnaire, the New Zealander a corpora!. The latter claims to be the only member of the N.Z.E.F. io have served in (lie Foreign Legion. This chance meeting in Egypt remind* <i both of when they had trained together in Algiers, at Gebbel Badde-u." Both had seen active service with the Legion, fighting in France's North African colonial empire. Once again in North Africa, both are now fighting another common foe, in a conflict the success of which is vital to-the safety of the British Empire to which they both belong.
