COLLECTION OF ERGOT

WHAKATANE FINDS 18LBS

The 1 total amount now collected from the Whakatane district is approximately 181bs. This represents a Splendid effort considering the time and patience in collecting and cleaning. If there arc 1 any who have small amounts still on hand, it will be appreciated if these could be handed in to the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., by next Tuesday, 28th inst.

The experienced gained in organising and collecting this season will be of infinite value for a bigger effort next year. In the organising of a campaign for next season, it is evident that there will have to be some more price arrangement, as present prices are certainly no incentive to collectors; it is to be hoped this will be remedied before next season.
