Sir, —Some time ago a report appeared in your columns of a meeting of the Whakatanc County Council in which a sweeping statement was. made to the effect that the' taxis in the County area were engaged in the extensive transportation of liquor especially to Maoris, and an appeal was made to the Transport Department for a revision of the taxi licenses. As a result of that appeal mjr taxi license comes up for revision at the Courthouse, Whaltatane, at 10 a.m. on the 29th Inst. [ challenge any of the Council memr J bers to appear at the court with anflf evidence that my taxi has ever been used for the transportation of liquor.
