COMBINED CHURCH SERVICE

NOTIFICATION has been received that the first of a series of combined church services, to which all will be invited irrespective of denomination, will take place in the Cale:donian Hall on Sunday, April 26. In this gesture a real effort is being made to overcome the weakening barriers of prejudice and intolerance and to build constructive and positive foundations for a new and more happily co-opera-tive order. Many silent critics will possibly find an answer to their secret thoughts in this first attempt in Whakatane to honestly get together in the name of spiritual progress and improvement.
