WHAKATANE CLUB RESULTS
The fine weather has enabled an uninterrupted series of bawling matches to be played on the Whakatane greens. Members are making the most of their opportunities and before the season concludes it will probably be regarded as one of the most successful in the club's history. Saturday's results were: — Wilson, Cole and Currah 28 defeated Smith, Creeke and Burgess 15; Grace, O'Rourke, Drube and McIsaac 19 beat Hewitson, Derecourt. Boon and Grant 17; Knewles, Butler. Bell and Loane 20 beat Bennett, Berg, McLeod and Hollis; 13; H. L. King, Salmon, Francis and Tippett 20 beat Murphy, Otley, Hellyar and Shaw 12. Smith Stars Jackson, King, Pearson and Howat 30 beat Canning, Healy, White and Marsh 9. On Saturday next percentage fours will be played, in the afternoon while over the week-end a tournament will take place commencing j at 8.45 a.m.
