FOOD RATIONING
SUGAR HOUSEHOLD NEEDS COOPERATION DESIRED "The sugar rationing' scheme 1 has now been completed," said , the Minister of Supply, the Hon. | D. G. Sullivan, during the 1 weekend. "It is elastic in nature and is designed l to cover any number of commodities which may be in short supply." The Minister expressed concern that in spite of the 1 fact that adequate supplies are coming forward regularly many peoplel were still having difficulty" in securing reasonable supplies. "The introduction of rationing under the coupon system me&rnsi that everyone will receive his fair slhare," said the Minister, "and the scheme has been designed to prevent abuses. Ration books will be available at all money order offices and special issuing points in the cities andi larger towns, from; Monday, April 13. The success of the scheme, said! Mr Sullivan, would depend on the co-operation of each individual and he was sure everyone would welcome the: step.
