N.Z. LABOUR PARTY

PRESIDENT RE-ELECTED NATIONAL EXECUTIVE MEMBERS By a large majority, Mr James Roberts was re-elected president of the New Zealand Labour Party for the sixth term of officc. The other nominees were Dr D. G. McMillan and the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, who was elected vice-president. Mr M. Moohan was rc-electcd secretary of the divisional area. The following were elected to the national executive: The Hon W. J. Rogers, Messrs C. W. Bos well, M.P., T. P. Mc-< Cready, A. Hansen, H. E. Combs, M.P., John Roberts, P. Neilson, M.P., G. Msaclian and D l . W. Stalker. Reference to the deaths on active service of Captain W. J. Lyon (Waitemata) and Lieutenant A.. G. Hultc/uist (Bay of Plenty), members of the Parliamentary Labour Party, was made in the report of the national executive. The report gives the name of six members who arc on active service. Lieutenant C. F. Skinner (Motucka), and Sergeant R. M. Mcafarlane (Christchurch South) are overseas, Captain T. H. McCombs (Lyttelton), Lieutenant J. B. Cotterill (Wanganui) and Private C. Carr (Timaru), are serving j.n the Dominion. A Avelccme Avas given to Leading Aircraftsman A. F. Moncur (Rotorua) on his safe return to New Zealand after serving in Malaya.
