LAND BOARD ELECTION
MR W. MOORE'S CANDIDATURE Notification lias been received that the voting papers for the forthcoming election to: fill the vacancy on the Auckland Land Board are to hand and Crown Tenants in this district can look forward to receiving them in the near future. All papers must be in the hands of the Returning Officer by May (i. Mr W. Moore of Thornton who ts standing for the position represents the interests of the Bay oC Plenty. He is particularly suited to speak for Crown tenants, having had lirst hand experience of pioneering bush life from childhood and latei of having carried out survey work in all corners of the province. A returned soldier he has addressed himself to the interests of the men returning from the present war and insists that they should be given r> fair and encouraging start shoulO tliey wish to go on the land. He is well known as a marksman and as u member of the Akarana Club to his laurels as winner of the provincial championship and later Bay of Plenty champion. Mr Moore pledges himself to work In the interests of the man fanning or holding Government land.
