NOTES AND COMMENTS
Congratulations to both Mclsaac find Littlejohn, winner and runnerup respectively of the championship singles. One player who has been a member for many years stated that it Avas the best find he has seen. Luxton, when leading showed promise, with practise, and plenty of it, he has the makings. Henderson was in his element, bringing oil' several fifth columnist shots by trailing the kitty beautifully to the enemy. McKenzie mostly played searchers but failed to find the "port v until Monday morning. Drube and Dixon were below form. Charlie L remarked that it was only to be expected as then* played enough good shots in the previous Star game to last a month. .Mel.end was a source of "pane" to his team. Playing with abandon he often left the brakes off and crashed his way through. He is a red-hot favourite for the Morpeth trophy. Sloane and Cole did not play, being of the opinion that the game should have been played with one bowl lesi. Howat had some real good trials.
But 3 r ou must be up "laddie." Tippett "pulled" the head- out of the fire often, coming toi light with his Avell known "painless draw." Murphj' was top weight. Carrying Oswald, Canning and Luxton he made no mistake on entering the straight and romped home a popular winner. Good luck Murph. The form of players will be watched over the Easter tournaments and more helpful comments will be willingly given.
