"Dry" Meeting at Ellerslie No alcholic liquor will be sold al the Ellerslie racecourse during the Easter' meeting. This decision was made last week by the committee of the Auckland Racing Club. Mr King fell heavily to the road and was rendered unconscious. He was removed to hospital where lie is reported now to be making a good recovery. The Young Helper An appellant at Wednesday's, sitting of the Manpower at Opotiki caused a great deal of amusement when he replied to the committee's question as to whether his son could help him in the milking shed. It had previously been stated that appellant had one child. The appellant told the committee that in the first place the child was a girl and also that she was only 15 months of age. He did not think the little girl could be of much assistance. The committee members joined in the laughter and someone was heard to remark something about a good alarm clock.
