SUPPLIES OF PETROL
POSITION OF FARMERS At last Executive meeting of the Auckland Farmers' Union correspondence was dealt with in regard to complaints that have been received concerning the supply of petrol to farmers. Apparently some .farmers who were entitled to petrol undejJ the latest regulations had found thar the necessary, authority was not available when they applied for it. ' The latest pronouncement on the subject came from the Dominion secretary, who wrote:— "So far as farm workers are concerned, if they do not receive petrol they should appeal to Wellington or ask the Postmasters to get in touch with Wellington, "I would again urge farmers who are justified to appeal to the Advisory Committee. Instructions have now been issued that the nearest Advisory Committee in the district concerned is to adjudicate on appeals."
