BLOWING UP THE 'PUBS'
Sir—ln reply to T Tctaller Ido not know whether or not he belongs to any service that will assist the community in the case of an emergency, but I myself beldng to; the E.P.S. and have been given the job of evacuating the maternitycases from the Whakatane hospital* I have further agreed to allocate twelve rooms of my hotel for the purpose of accommodating thes<» patients and have reason to that the other hotel, has made similar provision. If I am to treat these people in the event of the hospital being destroyed and I receive instructions through the press to- blow up my premises, I wonder if your correspondent belongs to any service which could assist me in carrying it out. I further pride myself in not being afraid to sign my own name. Yours etc.. NEVILLE McG. BREMNER, Commercial Hotel.
