ERGOT COLLECTION
TWELVE POUNDS FROM
WHAKATANE
To date twelve pounds of ergot has been handed in to the local depot (Loan and Mercantile Agency), but there remains many individual lots still to be handed. The result to date is considered 1 quite satisfactory in view of the lightness of the pods, and the local quota will exceed many others from district's of a far greater population. It will not however reach the splendid achievement of the Whangarei district, which despatched 561bs to headquarters.
