LYCEUM CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING HELD ACTIVITIES CURTAILED The annual general meeting of the Lyceum Club was held in the club rooms on , Thursday, March 5, there being a good attendance of members present. It was decided tg keep the Club functioning but during the war period to cut down the social activities to two circles, i.e., the Patriotic Sewing Circle Which meets each Friday n the club rooms and the Drama Circle which will hold a social afternoon on the last Friday in each month. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—=• President: Mrs S. Spence. Vice-prcsident: Mrs Cole. Secretary: Mrs Thomas. Committee: Mesdames Appleby, Runciman, Luxton, James, N. Carter, Winstone, Keir, Hayter, Kent. Drama Circle Committee: Convenor, Mrs Cole; Secretary, Miss Whiteside; Committee, Mrs Appleby,, Mrs Vercoe, Miss Allan. During the afternoon a small presentation was made to the President and Secretary by Miss Whiteside, ■who- thanked the recipients on behalf of the club for the work they had done during the 3 7 ear.
