ST. GEORGE'S GUILD

FAREWELL TO MRS J. ARRES Members of St. George's Guild took advantage of the annual meeting last Friday to farewell Mrs J. Arres who leaves in the near future for Rotorua. A presentation was made on behalf of members by the Rev. Caul ton who refcred to the fact that Mrs Arres was the oldest member of the Guild and had done excellent work in its interests. He then handed her an ornamental vase as an expression of the goodwill of her friends. Mrs Arres in responding said that , .she considered her long association with the Guild as her happiest memory. It was hard to say good-bye to so main* good friends but she trusted that there would lie many opportunities of revisiting Whakatane in the future.
