TRENCHES DEFACED

WARNING TO TRESPASSERS We have been asked by the local Home Guard authorities ta insert a warning to tresspassers! who are doing considerable damage to the recently constructed trenches and emplacements. Natural curiosity has led a number of persons to> make regular visits to these positions, with the result that the natural cover for which the positions were selected in the first place is being destroyed. Cover is one of the first essentials and for that rea- ■ son every possible step must be taken for its preservation. It is thought possible that the main offenders! are young school children who fail to, appreciate the damage they are doing. The co--operation of parents is therefore expected in keeping their children away.
