J .CANNING & CO., Auctioneers 120 FARMERS' MOTOR VEHICLES "E" PLATES Public notice is given that all farm motor vehicles, including farm tractors, should not be operated to cross over or travel on any public road without first having been registered at the Post Office. "E" plate farm motor vehicles may he used between the adjacent farms of any one owner or farm manager for his own farm agriculural purposes or with a maximum return journey of 13 miles for own farm manure and/or lime cartage. No motor vehicle registered "E" plates may be operated on a public road unless the driver thereof has the necessary Driver's License. Farmers' "E" plate motor vehicles operated on the public road are exempt from the following;— 1. Heavy Traffic License fees, 2. Warrants of fitness provided the motor vehicle is not capable of a speed of 15 m.p.h., and, 3. Petrol tax (well boring plants excepted). In several instances recently farm motor vehicles have been operated In contravention of the regulations.
