Unusual Case The spectacle of a man driving a heavy old-fashioned wagon and pair of draughts at a brisk pace round und round the block in the business area.regaled the people of Hastings on a recent afternoon. Unperturbed by a fall, he disregarded the efforts of a friend to cause him to desist and began driving round the block again. The police were then notified but it Avas not until there had been a spirited argument that two constables lifted the recalcitrant driver from his seat and took him to the police station. The following day he was charged with being drunk in charge of a carriage, to vvjt, a wagon and horses. It was probably one of the first cases of this nature heard in the Dominion.
