PERSONAL
L/Cpl A. Newman visited Whakatane yesterday in the course of a week's leave from Trentham Military Camp. He was accompanied by Mrs Newman. Friends of the Rev and Mrs Clarence Luxton will be pleased to learn that he has cabled that he is safe. The Rev. Mr Luxton; who at one time was Methodist Minister at VVliakatane is in the Solomon Islands and he is a nephew of Mr and Mrs L. W. Luxton, of Awakeri.
