CALEDONIAN OPEN NIGHT
CROWD AT KING STREET HALL
The Caledonian Society's hall in "King Street attracted a large number of young folk on Friday night when the Social Committee' promoted its first Open Night. This event marked the breaking away from the Tnglesides held previously and was the the forerunner of a number of similar functions. Great credit is due to Mr Stan "West, the M.C., who had arranged :a very attractive programme of old and modern dances with several interesting novelties. The music was supplied by Mr Phil Swift at the piano and Mr W. Lysaght at the .drums. A tasty supper was dispensed - by the ladies under the capable leader ship of Mrs J. J. Butler.
