Friday the 13th To-day is Friday the 13th, an unlucky day, so the superstitious tell us. However next Friday Avill be the 20th, usually a lucky day for suppliers of dairy companies, and also for business people who send out bills earlier in the month. All in a Hurry Although the local Fire Brigade has received many calls in recent months the novelty has not yet worn off for many residents and when the alarm sounded on Wednesday night traffic and pedestrians appeared from all directions and made n stream of traffic along King Street. Many bicycles were to be seen, and these incidentally caused no little vvorry to the brigade as the passage left for the engine was very narrow. Two lorries showed consideration an set an example to others when they immediately pulled off the road to give the engine right of way.
