MATATA MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Matata Women's institute was held on .January 28. Mrs Magee presided oA'er 0 good attendance and welcohied all members and visitors. It was decided that the Institute would Inu'c the usual bring and buy for the Federation funds. The question of funds for the soldiers' parcels Avas fully discussed and it Avas decided to hold a garden party at Miss Burt's residence. The roll call "Don't in Jam-mak-ing."" The members profited by some very useful hintsMrs W[thy read a most interesting story from the Pioneer Tales. Competitions: Best /lower, Mrs Smith 1. Mrs Bagby 2. Miss Burt 3. Something new from something old, Mrs Bagley 1 Avith a very pretty vase made from a bottle. The hostesses were M.rs Schick and Miss Burt.
