Rubbish Dump

The new rubbish dump site suggested for the Borough Council by the Harbour Board was across the bridge on the mudflats. However the borough foreman-engineer, Mr W. S. Henderson, was of the opinion that the bridge would not stand the strain of the heavy grader and roller which would have to be used to l cover rubbish and in the meantime the Council will continue dumping in the old site. The Board lias agreed to pay the council 4d petcubic yard for land reclaimed by such dumping.
