HOSE PIRATES!

RESTRICTIONS on the use of hoses apparently fail to impress certain persons who make no attempt whatsoever to as sist in the general conservation of the town supply. In some instances it would almost appear that the approach of a dry period is an open invitation to waste as much water as they can, by openly flouting the regulations and by running leads and hoses all night and in certain cases, all day too. The unfairness of these tactics would make it welcome news to those who are endeavouring to co-operate, to note a prosecution or two by way cf a gentle example.
