E.P.S. ACTIVITIES

WORK IN THE RANGITAIKI AREA LAW AND ORDER SECTION' Seventy members of the Rangitaiki Law and Order Section of the E.P.S. attended a special meeting held in the Edgecumbe Hall when Deputy District Warden D. Spence, and L. and O. Warden W. Hunter addressed the gathering and reported on progress made throughout the area. In an interesting resume instructions were given on the following points: (a) Emergency traffic control and police duties, (b) Law and Order picket duties, and (c) Vital Points and Benzine Bowser Guards duties. Mr A,. Carling (Vital Points Guards Officer) also addressed the meeting and answered many questions on the method of control and discipline. It is hoped to be able to hold future meetings at Paroa (to include White Pine Bush and at Te i Teko (to include Onepu). When further details of these meetings are announced, it is expected that all members will attend.
