ORGANIC FERTILISERS

UNDER RATIONING SCHEME MORE SATISFACTORY DISTRIBUTION That organic fertilisers such as blood and bone are now under a rationing scheme is notified by Mr J. R. Murray, Agricultural Department. Market gardeners have first call on this fertiliser and are allowed for the next 3 r ear the average annual amount they purchased over the two previous years ending 30th September, 1941. Next in turn comes those who have also made purchases over the previous two years. This will now mean a more satisfactory distribution of blood and bone amongst those who have been in the habit of using it in the past.

Since rationing of phosphatic fertilisers came in it will be remembered how blood seemed to vanish from the face of the country showing that it was not being distributed through the normal channels.
