COUNTY BRIDGES
CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRS WORK NOW IN HAiVD At yesterday's meeting of the 'County Council the acting-engineer, Mr R. O. Tomkins, reported as fol."lows:— The construction of Wano's bridge is in hand and should be completed ■shortly. The filling of the approaches will be carried out as soon <as one of the council's shovels is -available for this work, both machines being at present tied up in metalling contracts. This work is being charged to Main Roads 'Account. . The hardwood timber indented for Langenberger's bridge No, 1 reconstruction has arrived, and this work will be undertaken next.
Repairs to decking have been effected to bridges on Gow's, Grieve's, Riverslea-Otakiri and ' Langenberger's Roads.
