FOUR LOCAL MEN In the list recently released of those mentioned in despatches for gallantry in Greece and Crete, are the niames of four local men. Pte A. H. Nowland (Poroporo) Pte W. H. Tong (Whakatane) Lieut A. C. Yeoman (Tlaneatua) Sgt R. N. Hultquist (Auckland) Commission Earned Mrs M. E. Montgomery, of Te Puke, has received notice that her youngest son, E. F. Montgomery, lias been awarded a commission in the Fleet Air Arm. Sub-Lieut Montgomery, who is aged. 25 years, was educated at Cambridge and Te Puke and for some time was a member of the Whakatane branch of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy Ltd.
