COMPULSORY SERVICE
E.P.S. ORGANISATION ALL MUST PULL WEIGHT "Regulations are being prepared to provide for compulsory emergency precautions duty on the part of everybody, and! these will be gazetted 1 shortly," announced the Minister of National Service, the Hon. R. Semple, when addressing- the members of the Wairoa E.P.S. organisa-' tion at Wairoa. Mr Semple said he hated the word compulsion, but the time had come when "everybody must pull their weight, for the! position is extremely serious, and the slacker will have to be put i ; n his place."
