PHENOMENON NEAR WHITE ISLAND CANNOT BE WIDESPREAD Several fishermen have reported that recently they have noticed a heavy colouration of ocean waters off Wliakatane., Some attribute this to a marine disturbance, which might have its centre in the vicinity of White Island, although no reports of discolouration have been received from other parts, of the Bay of Plenty.
