GIRL GUIDE PARTY

BREAK-UP TEA

The ladies of the Girl Guide Committee entertained the local guides at a tea party in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evening last as a break-up for the year. The hostesses were Mrs F. Gartshore (District Commissioner), Mrs Searle, Mrs SutclifTe, Mrs Runciman, Mrs Winstone, Mrs Burt, Mrs Ballard, Mrs Fraser and Miss M. Whiteside. Before tea three new guides were enrolled by Mrs Gartshore —Phyllis Rivett, Gay Burt and Margaret Back. After the party games and singing Avere indulged in the committee ladies joining in. These were conducted by Capt. Allen and Lieut. Reardon. The singing of the National Anthem brought the happy party to a close.
