MATCHES WITH WAIMANA, Recently a Waimana team visited Opotiki. Originally the match was scheduled lor a Dun lop Shield match, but this competition has been abandoned this season due to war conditions. Very evenly contested games were the order of the day and Waimana and Opo«tiki Avon 12 matches each. Upon a count of individual games being made, Waimana turned out winners by 164 games to 158.
