PLUNKET SOCIETY DANCE

FUNDS STEADILY GROWING! The second of the series of Tuesday night dances in aid of the Plunket Society was again a success and the committee's funds are growing considerably. A home-made supper provided by the ladies of the Dance Committee was very popular. A novelty dance was won by Mr and Mrs Laurie Angell, and a pair of stockings by Mrs G. Parkes. The orchestra consisted of Mrs Lanner and Messrs Ted Hay den, Wal Lysaght and Stuart Pyne. Extras; were played by Messrs Henry Dairs and McMillan. Mr Colin Mollison acted as doorkeeper. Among those present were Mesdames G. Southey, M. Zinsli, P. Dixon, K. Runciman, C'olin Wallace, P. Vcrcoe, P. Swift, L. Angell. Misses Pamela King, Pixie Appleby, N. Owens (Wellington), Shirley Otley, Jean Chapman, May Quigg B. Howat, Ruby Howat, Dawn Marsh S. Bexley, E. Harrigan, D. Henderson, Win Sutcliffe, B. de Berry, L. Print, E. Nippelson, R. Laloli, E. Mi. Webb, D. M. Hodder, Joy Bridget Joyce Goulstone, V. and B. A'nsell, J. Freeman, E. Thompson, Tlielma and Gwen Zinsli, Jean Lyon. E. Needhain, Jean Crosier, Joyce Ranby. At to-morrow's dance the boys on leave will be farewelled by the Ladies' District Farewell Committee.
